Salsa Cruz is run by Neil & Giedre, Ema & Amanda — professional, patient, and passionate teachers who've built Worcestershire's most loved salsa community from the ground up.
Our classes are designed so that if you can walk and count to 7, you can learn salsa. We teach every step from scratch, rotate partners so everyone dances with everyone, and finish every class with the joyful chaos of Rueda de Casino.
After each class we send you recap videos so you can practice at home - and if you miss a week, you can catchup. And once a month, we hit the town together for social nights out — salsa, rueda, and lineups at friendly venues.

No standing around — you're dancing from minute one. Basic steps, body movement, and solo footwork to music set the mood and get the rhythm into your body.
We recap the moves from last week to refresh your memory or catchup if a lesson was missed. Repetition. This is where muscle memory locks in.
The first song lets you dance what you know with a partner. We rotate so you adapt to different styles and build versatility. Then a quick drink!
One new element, broken down piece by piece. Footwork → lead → timing. You'll always understand the "why" and "how" behind each move.
A slower song to practice your new moves and consolidate it as you go through the song. By the end the moves are clicking into place nicely.

What a wonderful Salsa session we had with Neil and Giedre — such a friendly and patient couple. Having never done any sort of dance lessons before they both put us at ease straight away. Neil's instructions were clearly explained and he moved on at a pace that was just right. It's a fantastic salsa group so friendly and really a good night of salsa dancing, people who can't dance get a good insight to how it's done really good friendly evening come along for a good night.
Wonderful team Giedre & Neil along with Valentin and Ema all willing us on week after week to be better at salsa, all good fun and Camaraderie the hour goes by far too quickly. There is also the odd excursions Latin/pop parties at different venues. So glad I decided to join.

Not knowing what to expect before turning up, I was so surprised at the fun and easy going way that the classes are run. Everyone makes mistakes and has a giggle about it, the instructors just whisk us all along and before we know it we have learnt our very first salsa steps. Neil and Giedre made me feel really welcome at Salsa Cruz as well as the other instructors and fellow salsa goers. I had no prior experience of any kind of dancing so joined the beginners class, everyone was in the same boat so it wasn't intimidating at all. The steps are broken down and practiced as a group which makes it fun and relaxed but at the same time after just 4 weeks we're all beginning to flow and progress.

Not at all. We rotate partners throughout the class, so you'll dance with everyone. Coming solo is completely normal as well as coming with a partner. Its always a friendly buzz in the group.
Absolutely. If you can walk and count to 7, we can teach you. We break everything down step by step, and you'll be dancing by the end of your first class.
Comfortable clothes you can move in (gymwear, jeans, t-shirts all fine) and layers you can take off - it gets warm! Shoes or trainers with a smooth sole, NO HEELS though ladies as it's a school gym which we have to protect.
Many students feel ready after 6 weeks. We go to monthly social nights so you can practise with your classmates in a relaxed, friendly setting.
We teach Cuban-style salsa (Casino) and Rueda de Casino. It's social, circular, and full of flavour — perfect for dancing at parties, clubs, and festivals worldwide.
