WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable and lets you move around the dance floor easily. Jeans are acceptable.Footwear with slippy soles is preferable which can be shoes or trainers.Sorry, heels are not permitted
because they can damage the floor causing splinters and, as it is a school gym which the kids need to use the next day, we don't want to give them splinters!

DOES IT MATTER IF I HAVEN'T DANCED BEFORE?
Many people taking up salsa haven't danced before but everyone soon gets in the swing of it.
You follow the steps that are taught so previous dance experience isn't needed.

I AM QUITE SHY, IS IT SUITABLE FOR ME?
You would be surprised how many people feel nervous about attending a class for the first time - nearly everyone! Understanding this, we make sure you feel welcome and comfortable in all our classes, with friendly, patient instructors who help everybody improve their confidence. We also provide at-home private classes with a male and female instructor for people who want to get a headstart on classes before they join, or because it better suits their home life. See below for details.

DO YOU PROVIDE PERSONAL AT-HOME TUITION?
Some people like to accelerate their learning with 1-2-1 learning within the privacy and comfort of their own homes. This costs £40/hour but there is limited availability. Ask your instructor about personal tuition or email us.

DO I HAVE TO DANCE WITH OTHER PEOPLE?
Salsa is a traditional partner dance with a lead and follower so yes you do swap partners and dance with other people. The spirit of salsa is to build a family where we all help each other to improve and are inclusive. If people wish to learn as couples we can provide this via 1-2-1 tuition at your home.

DO I HAVE TO BE FIT?
Many people use salsa to get fit as it is a low impact and fun exercise. The steps and moves we teach are easy to do (no dips or lifts like on Strictly!) and we choose slower music that is easier to dance to. We always advise caution if you have any medical conditions that impair your movement or walking.

WILL YOU BE DOING ANY OTHER LESSONS?
The next courses and taster classes will be advertised on our site, via facebook and SMS messages when you enrol.

WHERE CAN I GO TO DANCE SOCIALLY & PRACTICE?
There are many social events held within an hour's drive from Droitwich & Worcester and we can tell you more about them at the time and whether we are going too.

WHAT STYLE OF SALSA IS TAUGHT?
There are different styles of salsa and we teach the popular Cuban style including the fun La rueda de casino. The moves we teach are well-known meaning you can use them to go dancing at other cuban events!

DO YOU TEACH ANY OTHER STYLES OR LATIN DANCES?
We sometimes run bachata beginners courses to get you started. These are advertised on facebook, our Google My Business page and in our Whatsapp group for signed up students.

DO YOU PROVIDE SALSA TRAINING AT PRIVATE EVENTS?
We can provide this as a fun extra part of your private party where you have your own DJ, lasting for up to 90 minutes with lessons and lineups. Get in touch with us for costs.
